Participation of DigitaLLeather doo in the accelerator “United Nations Development Program – UNDP” organization within the project “EU for the Green Agenda in Serbia”

The project “EU for the Green Agenda in Serbia” is implemented by UNDP in cooperation with the Embassy of Sweden and the European Investment Bank (EIB), with technical and financial support from the European Union and in partnership with the Ministry of Environmental Protection, with additional financial resources provided by the governments of Sweden, Switzerland and Serbia (https://www.undp.org/sr/serbia/projects/eu-za-zelenu-agendu-u-srbiji).

The innovative start-up DigitaLLeather doo has passed the acceleration phase as part of this project. The goal of the acceleration was to get to know the teams and project ideas, exchange knowledge and experiences among the teams, and of course training on the preparation of the project document, as well as the accompanying methodology for assessing compliance with the legislation. DigitaLLeather doo was classified in the field of “circular economy for resource efficiency and industrial symbiosis”. The acceleration phase lasted 3 months. Each team had its own designated group mentor who guided the team towards the development and monitoring of the workshops. The mentor of the DigitaLLeather doo team was Dr. Vladimir Adamović. DigitaLLeather doo team consisted of Dr. Nikola Banduka and PhD student at FON Miloš Bijanić. The teams participated in creative, interactive and all-day workshops where they acquired certain knowledge and skills for the development of their business plan and project document. The DigitaLLeather doo team achieved the maximum number of points during the acceleration phase as a result of the team’s efforts. The workshops were conducted by various experts from the public and private sector with rich domain knowledge.

The activities covered by this accelerator are:

  1. Workshop on the Circular Economy and creation of a circularity model of the company; Workshop on project document development (stakeholders, activities, risks, impacts, etc.);
  2. Workshop on business development, financing instruments, project budget preparation, marketing preparation and sales plan;
  3. Calculation and assessment of GHG emissions of harmful gases;
  4. Lecture and workshop on public performance and rehearsal of public performance;
  5. Workshop on gender equality.
 

The acceleration phase was successfully completed on September 20, 2023. year with the presentation of projects by all participants who took part in the UNDP accelerator. The DigitaLLeather doo team presented its innovative idea for detecting defects on industrial leather using artificial intelligence.
